Job Description
Core Responsibilities:
Safeguard company assets and ensures positive guest relations through communication and proper utilization of procedures and internal controls
Ensure compliance with gaming regulations with NYS Lottery and company policies, conduct regular audits and inspections
Works with NYS data system MGAM to retrieve financial, statistical, and voucher management related information.
Assign work and responsibilities, overseeing Gaming Operations and manage the gaming floor attendants to ensure maximum efficiency
Support departmental goals related to revenue, guest service, and operational efficiency.
Assists in hiring, training, work assignments, evaluating performance, administering disciplinary action, and the termination of all subordinate Gaming personnel according to union and departmental policies.
Monitor gaming floor activity for suspicious behavior and report irregularities.
Monitor electronic table games (ETGs) and slot operations for performance and integrity
Manage team expectations, ensuring compliance with departmental and company policies including coaching sessions.
Conduct shift briefings and communicate operational updates to team members.
Prepare shift reports, document incidents, and communicate with incoming shift management.
Authorizes jackpots according to approved policies and completes required forms if necessary
Resolve guest disputes, customer service issues, and escalated concerns in a professional manner.
Maintain a visible presence on the gaming floor.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Additional Duties/Job Dimensions:
Regular attendance is essential to the successful performance of this position. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property including weekends and Holidays.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Required:
High School Diploma or GED and five (5) years of related gaming experience, two (2) years as a
supervisor or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience with a focus on
slot management.
Strong knowledge of gaming regulations and internal controls.
Excellent conflict resolution and customer service skills.
Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Proficiency in casino management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Must be able to obtain a New York State Key License
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field
Proficient in gaming management systems and data analysis tools
Familiarity with slot machine mechanics and troubleshooting
Other:
Intermediate computer skills, including e-mail, word, excel, data input and record keeping
Leadership skills required
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds (if required).
Ability to work in a casino environment with moderate noise levels.
